FAQs

Our diary gets updated on a daily basis (on average we play for over 200 events a year). To check if we are available on your date, please contact us using the online form, emailing us at mail@thebristolstringquartet.com or phoning us on 07736 273723.

No. For us to hold the date, you need to make a booking with us and return a contract.

No, but we require a contract to be signed and returned.

The 20% deposit will secure your chosen date and times. The balance is to be paid either in advance via BACS or cheque.

The Quartet need an area of 3m x 2m minimum and 4 armless chairs. No power sockets are needed but we do need adequate lighting in order to see our music.
Please notify your wedding co-ordinator or the venue that you are having a string quartet as if we turn up without warning they may not be able to find space or suitable chairs for us.
We will also need an area to store our cases whilst we are playing.
The quartet will require soft drinks, and possibly other refreshments depending on the length of the booking

Yes, with provisos. We are quite happy to play outside, however prolonged exposure to direct sunlight is not good for the instruments, therefore the Quartet will require a shaded area to play in (the shade of a building, or under a canopy or marquee).
Precipitation is also bad for the instruments and so if it is spitting with rain we must be under cover or inside.
